Negative Response began in1980. Inspired by the DIY punk ethic, the project used the cheaper lofi electronic kit available in the early 80s. Negative Response released its début cassette album, "Is It True!" in 1981 on its own Negative Products label. This was followed in1982 by "One Day". I983 saw a 3rd cassette album, "Shapes of Things to Come. Tracks from these albums are now on compilations.
